Star Wars: The Last Jedi Costumes

Star Wars is one of the most popular franchises of all time, and its characters are easily recognizable pop culture icons. From the original 1980s trilogy to the modern day through 2017 films, the characters are known all over the world, and the movies are loved by people of all ages.

Star Wars is one of the go-to ideas for Halloween costumes, especially because they’re so widely known. There are tons of costumes available for people of all ages, genders, and sizes, as well as plenty of ideas for group costumes.

Since the release of the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, many people have taken a liking to the villain Kylo Ren, as well as the other new characters. The 2017 movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi continues to follow the paths of these characters.

For most young boys, Kylo Ren will be the most likely candidate for their Star Wars Halloween costume. Like most Star Wars villains, Kylo Ren wears a black cloak, but what really sets his outfit apart is his mask and his lightsaber.

His lightsaber is very different from any other in the series, because in addition to the main blade, he has two smaller blades that protrude from the side. If your kid wants to go for a more classic character, they’ll probably either choose Darth Vader or a Jedi like Obi-wan Kenobi.

Darth Vader is probably the most iconic Star Wars character, with his uniquely shaped helmet and chest plate. Any good costume will include the mask, cape, and armor that he wears.

A Darth Vader costume would be incomplete without his classic red lightsaber. You can get a plain plastic one that extends, or one that lights up like a real one and makes sounds.

Jedi outfits are easier, because they’re mostly brown robes with a tan tunic underneath. Just grab a blue or green lightsaber for the Jedi outfit and you’re good to go! Of course, there are plenty of options for costumes for girls as well.

From the latest movies, girls will likely want to dress up as the protagonist, Rey. Rey wears tan robes over her jumpsuit, along with arm wraps and a cuff on her left hand. She also wears black boots and has a very peculiar hairstyle, but many wigs have been released to imitate it.

Alternatively, your child might want to go as Princess Leia from the original movies. Princess Leia wears all white robes and shoes, and has her hair done in her iconic double buns.
