Guardians of the Galaxy Costumes

Guardians of the Galaxy is one of Marvel Comic’s lesser known series, especially when compared to series like the Avengers. However, since the release of the hit film in 2014, it’s gained a lot of popularity, and the characters have become much more well-known.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was released in mid-2017, bringing in a few new characters but mostly driving home everyone’s love for the existing ones. Since these movies were received very well by adults and children alike, they make for great Halloween costumes.

The characters are diverse and easily distinguishable from one another, so people will be able to easily tell who your costume is supposed to be. One of the most common Guardians of the Galaxy costumes is Peter Quill, also known as the Star Lord, the protagonist.

Peter wears a red leather trench coat with leather straps running across the chest, as well as leather shoulder pads. He wears black pants and black combat boots, as well as a metal mask with red eyes.

He also carries around a futuristic space pistol. Star Lord costumes are available for children as well as adults, and come in various degrees of detail and quality. Peter Quill isn’t the only lovable member of the Guardians.

Groot and Rocket Raccoon are also very popular, especially among fans of the movie. Groot is a creature made of wood, only able to say one sentence: I am Groot. Most Groot costumes are fairly simple, being jumpsuits with wooden textures similar to Groot’s printed onto them, but you can get 3D detailed ones if you’re willing to spend a bit more.

Rocket Raccoon is a talking raccoon who wears a space jumpsuit. You can get Rocket costumes with furry masks and hands with the space suit. You can also get inflatable versions of the space gun Rocket uses in the movies.

Finally, for the girls who love Guardians of the Galaxy, they’ll probably want to dress up as Gamora. Gamora is an alien who has all green skin, brown and purple hair, and wears an all leather black jumpsuit with black leather boots.

While most Gamora costumes will include the face paint, you can pick up more from most costume stores if you want to do the hands and arms as well. You can also buy plastic replicas of the sword and sheath she uses in the movies for the full effect.
